We reported at the start of the week a series of bizarre mutilations on a species closely related to shark. Each had their gills removed on the right hand side with the exception of 1 of the 8 found which had both sides removed. Each left a rectangular wound.
Today, we can provide an update on investigation as it continues.
07-05-2025
11:15 – Agents Evans and Carter returned to the scene but found no further evidence.
13:11 – Agents Evans and Carter returned back to scene as the tide was due in with the hopes of evidence being washed ashore, but this was not to be the case on this occasion. Both agents agreed to return the next day.
08-05-2025
10:15 – Agent Evans found another mutilated specials with the right and left side of the gills removed leaving a rectangular wound.
10:16 – Agent Evans found a 2nd (8th in total), which had been completely mauled, and this could be due to wildlife feeding from the remains.
10-05-2025 – Agent Carter returned to the scene to obtain further evidence, however no further evidence was found, however it was determined that the direction of where the mutilated species were coming from was 20 degrees North, which will help aid to finding an exact location. Further investigation however is warranted.
There was also a police presence which revealed some further information, which may not be related to the current investigation, however, it cannot be ruled out. On 09-05-2025, it was reported to authorities that human remains were seen in the waters, that of being a human hand. The police presence today may have been connected to that but at this time we cannot comment any further whilst this separate investigation is ongoing.
It has been revealed that a further 4 weeks of investigation has been granted and the area of investigation will be expanded following the direction that is likely to be the area where the mutilations are taking place.
