Currently the investigation into the mutilations of a species closely related to sharks is currently on hold. We can confirm this is NOT due to weather conditions but is actually due to human remains washing up on various parts of the coastal line. Although agents here have not encountered this, the decision was made to place the investigation on hold due to police presence and did not want to interfere in their ongoing investigation.
However, an update has been provided concerning the mutilations.
“We have made significant findings during our investigation, and have determined the area of which the species have been washing up on shore. It seems the area is quite small, therefore we can now concentrate on specific areas within the location to help us with enquiries. We can also confirm that this is not the first time incidents like this have occurred. We recently discovered that there was a newspaper investigation back in 2020 which reported the same occurrences appeared to have happened. What is more interesting is that the 2020 incidents also occurred in the month of May. We shall be contacting them to make further enquiries to help us establish a motive.”
It is unclear however when the investigation will resume but reports suggest it could be within a matter of weeks to which an extension to the investigation has been applied.
