A new campaign by the bureau is starting this week to help fund the running of the Special Investigations Unit (SIU). Since the launch of the SIU’s anti scam operation, it has heavily increased the workload. This means that more resources are being used to try and tackle the online scammers.
Right now, we are looking to raise $5000 which will help the SIU with the running costs. A new page was set up to help with this on the popular platform Buy me a Ko-Fi. For more information you can visit HERE.
The campaign will begin across our social media platforms this week and may also introduce our donate a dollar campaign to help with raising the funds needed.
The SIU currently deal with missing persons, cold cases, online fraud (scamming) and of course private investigation which will also be coming up for review. The SIU also has plans to expand its services which are currently free and will remain so.
