Introduction
The following are recent reports of Sasquatch activity in Ohio that took place outside of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The possibility of some of these reports being fraudulent/misidentifications has been indicated.
2 men claim to see Bigfoot in southern Ohio park
This above report supposedly took place close to two hours south of Cuyahoga Valley National Park at Salt Fork State Park.
The vocalizations do seem to fit in with the Grassman Modus operandi. However, the visual evidence at 3:35 could have been bears. Aside from here, the evidence clearly does not point to bears, which leaves either sasquatch activity or a hoax as potential explanations. While the fact that in the news article they didn’t want to reveal their names perhaps suggests that they aren’t hoaxers looking to capitalize on Bigfoot interest, the fact of the matter is that ever since their YouTube channel started doing Bigfoot related content, their views have skyrocketed. Of course, it’s possible they generally had a sighting and became interested which is why they went on to do multiple Bigfoot videos. That being said, it’s clear by watching their initial video that they went there in search of Sasquatch, so it sure is convenient that they found one. Personally, reviewing their video carefully and considering the facts, it appears to me that this sighting is a hoax.

The above article accords with my opinion that the aforementioned Salt Fork State Park is a hoax, and it also mentions a sighting in Fairfield County. Fairfield County is located around 2 and a half hours Southwest of Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
This sighting describes a bipedal creature with reddish hair. If it’s a misidentification, it’s possible they saw a cinnamon bear (black bear subspecies) on its hindlegs. https://www.ohwildlife.org/education/black-bear/

Reading the article, the people who saw the sighting seem to be honest and without anything to gain, so in this case, I think it is most likely it was either a sighting or a misidentification.
Adding credence to the above report is another recent report from Fairfield County, as outlined in the article below.

That being said, one must consider the possibility that the teen simply used Bigfoot as an excuse for bad driving.
In regards to habitat for sasquatches in the Fairfield County area, there is a sizeable forest in the county’s south.
Below is a report from Fairfield County’s southwestern area, in a village called Stoutsville.

This report seems credible in my opinion.
In regards to the prospective habitat for Sasquatches in the Fairfield County area, there is a large forest in the south that leads out into the Clear Creek Metro Park Nature Preserve, and from there, there is pretty much always a forest close by for quite a large area.

There isn’t a lot of information I could find on this one, so it’s hard to determine this sighting’s veracity. Also, neither article specifies the location aside from it being in Athens County. I presume this occurred in Strouds Run State Park.
I also investigated reports in Ohio’s surrounding states, to see if there were any sightings close to Ohio’s borders. I did not come across any.
In general, I think given the terrain and the fact that a decent amount of sightings exist, Ohio could very well have sasquatches, but given the possibility for black bears to be misidentified as sasquatches, it’s hard to say that a sighting must be a sasquatch or a hoax, unless of course if the sighting featured behaviour that could not be replicated by a bear (for example, running bipedally for a long distance and at a great speed).
Findings
Several of the sightings I’ve been able to sort through in this particular region do coincide with the typical behaviors of bears getting too comfortable around human influence, and if found to be the case common procedures will be to put the animal down for fear of someone being injured or killed. I’ve managed to reach out to Professor Meldrum who is the Professor of Anatomy and Anthropology; also a strong advocate for serious study into the worldwide Bigfoot phenomenon and has made several appearances over a variety of programs on the subject. Meldrum advised that while some alleged encounters with Sasquatch-esque creatures may in fact be misidentified bears; using the behaviors of bears as a reference point for profiling potential home to sustain large omnivorous animals could prove more tangible evidence on a physical investigation. It should also be noted that in the case of Ohio, wildlife officials have announced that the bear population is growing in the region.

As for the Sasquatch itself, locals in Ohio tend to refer to it as the “Grassman” or “Orange Eyes.” While a majority of Sasquatch reports in North America indicate that the creature itself tends to shy away from humans and only show aggression if itself or territory is threatened, the Grassman is seen to be a more aggressive in nature. These creatures are also highly intelligent in nature, but obviously incredibly strong. Some accounts claim that Sasquatch in general are capable of language, with some witnesses comparing their speech to how someone who was deaf their entire life might sound if they tried to speak. On the rare occasion some have claimed that a Sasquatch, if under the belief the creature is trusting of humans, is capable of speaking human language and may have interacted closely with indigenous tribes before the arrival of European settlers.
Interestingly enough, and I personally have tried this with a Sasquatch located near me, is that these creatures may also have a sweet tooth.

In a field operation I recommend setting a trap camera with various forms of bait; while yes it could attract the attention of other animals but using the aforementioned notes this could provide the best odds of success.
Recommendations
Overall, the recommendations that were made from this report were that of inconclusive. Although some evidence links suggests that of bigfoot, the lack of physical evidence makes the investigation to solely conclude the basis that this is indeed a cryptid.
Conclusion
To conclude this report, the findings show that the evidence presented were not conclusive enough to suggest that this was credible evidence of bigfoot activity and it is of the opinion that the investigation concludes it’s findings as inconclusive.
