The case into the mysterious disappearance of avid hiker, Kenny Veach, is still ongoing. The case has now been passed to the Central Intelligence Unit where a complete overhaul will take place. This means that agents will visit the case from the very start and go through all the evidence again to try and see if there is something within that may come to light.
Since 2019, IBPIR has actively investigated the case to try and solve the mystery once and for all. It has been a slow process but agents are confident that they will unearth some new evidence to bring the truth closer.
Kenny went missing back in 2014 whilst on a solo hike, although this scenario has yet to be proven as fact. Kenny’s infamous words however during one of his videos found on YouTube sparked much debate. Kenny stated: “That aint nothing. I am a long distance hiker. One time during one of my hikes out by Nellis Air Force Base, I found a hidden cave. The entrance to the cave was shaped like a perfect capital M. I always enter every cave I find, but as I began to enter this particular cave, my whole body began to vibrate. The closer I got to the cave entrance, the worse the vibrating became. Suddenly I became very scared and high-tailed it out of there. That was one of the strangest things that ever happened to me.”
It is believed Kenny went back to the area to try and find this mysterious cave, however, it is uncertain what happened after that. During a search and rescue, his phone was found on top of an entrance to an old mine, but a detailed search produced nothing else. Since then, many YouTuber’s have explored the area to ty and find a trace of Kenny, but to no avail.
Now, agents will attempt to retrace his last steps before his vanished, but, the CIU also have theories as to what may have happened. It has even been suggested that Kenny may have met foul play and that the disappearance was all staged, however details surrounding this theory have been kept from the public eye. The CIU also plan on releasing it’s initial report on the case which may highlight the theories and the evidence to support them. Until then, we shall just have to wait until that report lands.
