The all female show, The Women & the Weird, has been suspended until 2026 after just 5 episodes. The original plan was for the series to be an 8 part including a special episode, however, the show was axed after just 5 episodes by the board. A statement was given regarding this.
“Sometimes when you introduce a new show, it can take some time to settle into it. Although our panel members that featured in the show were always dedicated to filming, we felt that major improvements could be made for our viewers. It was decided initially that after the 4th show, we would pull the plug, however, after discussions we ended up releasing the 5th with the decision that it would be the final show until 2026. We have not ruled out a Halloween special however and are still in discussions about whether that will still go ahead.”
The improvements were put forward and plans are still in place to resume the series in 2026, however this is still yet to be confirmed. The special which was put forward for Halloween is still in the discussion stage but we’ll update as soon as we can.
