The case of missing hiker Kenny Veach continues, however it seems the SIU are now exploring two possibilities that may finally solve the mystery behind the missing hiker.
The SIU have put forward two possible theories. The first, is that Kenny may have set the whole missing act up to go and start a new life under a new alias. This was brought forward by a member of the board which was then explored as a possibility. It may be the case that because Kenny was in debt, he chose to start his life again under a new identity, which could explain the statement given by his then girlfriend which was extremely conflicting and full of red flags.
The second theory which has been put forward and is currently the one that the SIU are most likely to conclude with, is that Kenny may have met with foul play. The suspect currently is Kenny’s then girlfriend, who had been on hikes with Kenny before and knew the area pretty well in which he was supposedly went missing. His phone was found placed on a mineshaft, however now other belongings nor any sign that Kenny was even there was found. The area was known by both parties, however, the name of the suspect is not being named at the moment.
The statement that was given, plus other comments left on Kenny’s last video suggest that someone knew either what was going to happen or what happened. Evidence also suggests that the then girlfriend showed little compassion towards Kenny, however, the motive is still being explored.
The SIU are set to make their theories public within the coming months, and it is then of speculation that with the evidence already gathered, authorities may be called in to access the evidence as well as the theory that will be presented. Please look out for further updates.
