It has been confirmed that a major move is about to happen. The Historical Investigations Unit is set to close, but not in a bad way. Instead, the HIU is now set to merge with the Paranormal Investigations Unit instead. The move is set to take place this week which will see the two units merging and remain as the PIU.
This means that instead of the four current units, it will now consist of the Paranormal Investigations Unit (PIU), Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and Central Intelligence Unit (CIU). A statement on the move has been presented.
“This move is vital to the way we work, and it has taken careful consideration about this merger. The HIU which previously acted as a hub for research and historical investigation will be more suited to merge with the PIU. This means that all units will now act as a research hubs which will make more sense. The current plan is to have the PIU take on the tasks of historical places and events and historical races and individuals whilst the CIU and SIU will both share the archaeology aspect. We are confident that this move is the right decision and we will constantly review how we work.”
Another statement was also given about the current move.
“Whilst this merger of units will be vital, we still remain committed to our mission and will continue to operate as normal. Whilst some feel that this may be seen as a loss, we are not losing any of the benefits that the HIU provided, but simply moving those benefits to the appropriate units that we feel would be more suited.”
