We can confirm that the Bureau has removed an agent following reports of harassment, bullying and sexual communication towards female members.
The Bureau was made aware on Wednesday 22nd April of the activities taking place an swiftly took action to remove the now former agent, which has resulted in a full enquiry. The Bureau has reached out to all female members to ensure their safety and will continue to provide support to those affected.
The situation unfolded after comments were made within a private group chat which led to the discovery or further actions and thus resulted in the former agents removal. It is now undergoing a full investigation which will be handed over to authorities once all evidence has been collected.
The Bureau does not tolerate such actions from individuals and will always take swift action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of its members.
At this time we cannot issue any further details until the investigation has concluded, however, a statement from the Chief Executive was issued earlier today.
“Here at the Bureau, we take the safety and wellbeing of all of our team very seriously, and once we were made aware of the situation action was taken immediately. We do not and will not tolerate this sort of behaviour from anyone and we will use the full force of the law to ensure that justice is served. I can confirm that the female members affected have been contacted and a support plan is now in place. The situation however will affect the way we vet new members in the future in order to ensure that nothing like this arises again. Of course once the internal investigation is completed and handed over to relevant authorities, we will issue the full details of what has transpired.”
The Bureau will however continue to operate as normal and the situation has not affected it services or current investigations.
