It was confirmed earlier in the year that an investigation into Cannock Chase was given the green light providing all specifications surrounding the investigation were submitted. The area, which is known for is spiritual activity, UFO sightings and more intriguing, Bigfoot sightings, caught the attention of the Bureau.
We can now confirm that the investigation will take place in the spring/summer of 2026 and is set to last a full week of intense day and night investigation. It is expected that the team will consist of between 12-20 members in order to cover ground and conduct both day and night investigations.
The plan which was put forward to the board was laid out in a statement.
“Cannock Chase is such a large area, and with that would need a full week of 24/7 investigation. Basecamp would most likely be set up near or in the centre of the area, with the team being split into two. This would mean one team would investigate during the daylight, and the other would investigate during the night time, with 2 people remaining at base camp at all times. We must consider the health and safety of those that we intend on placing on the investigation as well how we intend to conduct the physical investigation.”
It has also been put forward that the investigation would be open for sponsors to fund the entire case, which would include travel expenses, equipment and food and drink supplies.
The exact date is set to be announced once the full team has been confirmed.
