Over the weekend, it was brought to the bureaus attention of some intense bullying towards a new member of the of the team which had taken place before they had joined. The evidence that was brought forward showed a supposedly genuine paranormal group making and publishing videos where the bullying and harassment was evident to see. It was also shown countless comments from this group ridiculing and mocking whilst claiming to be professional.
Within the paranormal community, bullying has always been rife however there had been a slight decrease over the past few years. It had always been not only an anti-bullying policy with the bureau, but it has never been supported and a statement has also been made by the board.
“It came to my attention after not only a team member, but a close friend, had shown me evidence of a so called professional paranormal group harassing, mocking and openly bullying by publicly doing so. In that respect, It has been decided that since this group almost drove said person to the brink of suicide, a live show will be go ahead to provide an opportunity to this group to explain their actions. Since it is within their nature to air things in a public setting, it is only right that we adhere to their preferred method of communication and give them a platform to which they can explain their actions.”
The bureau does stress however that this is not a retaliation in any way, it is simply to give opportunity to this group to come forward and explain their actions before highlighting the work that they do and explain to them that without scientific methods being apart of investigations, then there can be no real credible evidence.
