The SIU will soon be introducing its new appeals section dedicated to missing persons and cold cases. The move would see the section displaying the relevant information plus each appeal would have its own unique case number.
The SIU is not funded by any government source and remains completely free to use. The service is open to anyone who may need help in looking into missing persons or cold cases. This means that we are able to assign specially trained agents to investigate each case with a fresh approach.
The appeals process has always been a part of what we do, however, it is also something that always needed expansion and now that it is finally in the works, it means the SIU can really step it up and help those who truly need help.
