There has been a huge surge in a new email scam designed to trick people into handing over their details. The new scam sees users being emailed from Wix, the website building platform, however, these are not actually Wix and often has very obvious tell tale signs.
The first being that the emails are all Gmail, often with various wording. The second sign is spelling, as these are quick to it scammers and often to forget to do a basic spell check, often suggesting these are foreign scammers.
Our team at the SIU have collected the emails that are being used so far which are listed below. So if you see any of these or anything similar, DO NOT reply and send any details. Instead, report as junk, block if your email client allows and even report to Wix itself as they have a dedicated team o investigate and report these types of scams.
