IBPIR hosted their very first Paracon at the venue Hippos Bar located in Swansea, Wales, UK and was deemed a success given the short amount of time it took to organise it.
The Paracon was opened by Special Agent Carter who gave a talk on some notable events from IBPIR’s history including the very first incident with a shadow person. This was then followed up with the infamous black cat that roams the UK and wrapped up with a demonic entity that had been terrorising one family for over 60 years.
After the opening segment, Special Agent Thomson gave a talk and demonstration on the equipment used within the paranormal field. During the talk, members of the audience were allowed to try the equipment for themselves. After the segment, Agent Thomson then gave a talk on the Historical Investigations Unit when some of the findings were displayed on a table for the audience to take a better look. The finds included unique rocks, fossils and artefacts that had been retrieved from expeditions.
The next segment was conducted by local historian Gwilym Games who gave a very interesting talk on the Angels and Bowmen, The Mystery of the Angels and Mons. This talk was received very well by the audience who were not shy of questions.
The next part of the event was presented by local group, the Swansea UFO Network who gave an interesting presentation on local stories and encounters with UFOs, including a tale of a couple who were missing time when they claimed to have been possibly abducted.
To close the event, a special presentation into the mysterious Hatman was led by Special Agent Carter who displayed the latest photographic evidence into this strange saga and theories that surround into what this entity could be. This was also followed by a quick talk and display into cryptids, and on this occasion, it was Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster who were the talk of the town.
To close the event, members were invited to the HIU display table where each person was invited to take a unique souvenir home.
All in all this event was a success and future events have now been arranged at even more venuesich have already been tipped to be bigger and better.
