An agent who had been investigating a series of big cat sightings has suffered 2nd degree burns. After a wave of reports about big cat sightings across England and Wales, an investigation was launched to gather evidence and monitor the sightings, however, during one of the investigations, an agent suffered 2nd degree burns during the recent heatwave.
In a short statement, “I am always prepared when on field investigating, however, during this occasion, even though I had applied the protective cream on my exposed skin, it was not enough to protect me from the suns rays, resulting in 2nd degree burns. I have now been treated and nursing my arm back to health and will certainly apply more protection during hot weather. Let this be a lesson to those who chose to ignore the warning signs.”
Currently the UK is experiencing extremely hot weather, with investigations within the Bureau being closely monitored, however another round of safety warnings have been put in place for everyone. It is so important that during hot months to stay hydrated and wear protective cream.
