After months of back and fourth on the future of the all female show, The Women and the Weird, it has now been decided that the show is to be completely scrapped. This comes after changes were brought in by the board, however these were not received well by the show panel, and to add that the show had been struggling to get it together.
In a statement given by the Chief Executive, “We understand that this was a unique show designed to be something different, however, the direction in which it took was not a good one in my opinion and the show just declined. It would be wrong for me to allow this show to carry on, however, I can confirm that a new show will instead take its place.”
The show which first aired in 2025 had struggled after new rules were implemented which were not received well considering the show was doing well at the time. We can confirm that there may have been personal issues at the time which created tension , but this was very quickly resolved.
It does seem however that a brand new show will be taking its place, and we are just awaiting the final details from that.
