It has now been confirmed that the former agent that was released after an internal investigation has been named as Roy Horton. The release came after complaints and a solo investigation, naming Mr Horton as bullying and harassing female members.
An internal investigation was then launched which discovered that Mr Horton had very disturbing fetishes of females being somewhat sexually exploited. A concern was raised with authorities to which the internal investigation was handed over, however after some time, authorities decided there was not enough evidence to warrant an arrest.
The Bureau has since introduced more safety measures to ensure that all female members are protected from this sort of behaviour. This now includes a change to the join us system where new members will need to provide at least one active social account to ensure good standing socially.
In a statement given by the Chief Executive, he said, “We take these matters extremely seriously, and we do not condone behaviour of this type. Although we can not fully stop anyone from posting on their own socials, the materials found on Mr Hortons timeline were a cause for concern. It is however disheartening that authorities could not proceed further, however we hope that this sends a powerful message that we do not and will not stand for any form of bullying or harassment towards our female members nor any other member. We are diverse and have achieved so much since 1998, and we continue to grow.”
In another statement given, “We also understand that a member of our team had publicly outed Mr Horton on social media, however this is not our standard practice and we can only apologise for the lack of professionalism shown. Moving forward, a reminder of the process that we must follow has been re-instructed and we would expect a certain level of professionalism to be conducted when investigating such matters.”
Mr Horton has been permanently banned from the Bureau and blocked from interaction on any social accounts.
