The UK Government is still holding back on releasing files related to UFO reports, and the big question is why will they still not release those files?
It has been subject to debate for years, and with the US currently releasing their files, in the UK, it seems that the Government are very hesitant on releasing any file related to UFO activity. In 2026 so far, there have been hundreds of reported UFO sightings across the country, however, the Government is failing to acknowledge them.
Earlier in the year, one local MP demanded hat these files should be released, however thee has been no further outcome on this debate, which begs the question as to why the Government continue to withold the information.
One thing we do know is that some reports are still reported to local authorities, but what happens to those reports after that remain a complete mystery.
We have also seen countless petitions demanding that UFO files must be released to the public, however these are still going un-noticed by the Government, so are they hiding something from us?
In a statement from the Bureau, “We will continue to push for these files to be released, and even meetings with the relevant bodies must be set up in order to portray the objective of making this public knowledge. Regardless of whether the Government is hiding these files for a reason, we must follow US lead now and release these files to the public, they have a right to know.”
It is also reported that the Bureau have contacted relevant MP’s to request more information as to why the files are being held back.
